8-Week Mind Body Skills Group
Learn evidence-based skills that promote health & well-being
Are you feeling weary? Lonely? Disconnected? If so, you are not alone. After living in the midst of a global pandemic and its political and economic fallout, it is easy to get caught up in stress, worry, and anxiety. We invite you to join us in our upcoming 8-week Mind Body Skills Group, and join with others to learn skills, process experiences, and leave stronger and more in touch with your mind and body.
Join our caring, supportive peer group
This is a time where we can come together in person and connect, learn, and grow together. It is an opportunity to build the connection we have all been missing. We will teach mind body skills to help you connect more deeply with yourself and others. This group is an excellent addition to your healing and recovery journey. Give yourself the gift of two hours a week where you can focus on your own support and wellbeing.
Mind Body Skills are tools that build self-awareness, and cultivate self-care. They are evidence-based practices that are easy to integrate into your life. Both of the facilitators, Joanna Robertson & David Sunday are certified through the Center for Mind Body Medicine. Note: this group is not a substitute for clinical therapy; if you or someone you love needs help with an addiction or co-occurring mental health disorder, learn more about our treatment services.
The next 8-week Mind Body course begins on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM CST, and will be hosted in-person at The Council.
Presentations on Mind Body Skills for organizations and agencies can be provided upon request.
