Christmas in July Donation Drive
Texas summers are hard to bear, and for newly sober moms with kids in tow and little support, it gets harder with each passing hot day. Staying inside often means staying home alone with restless small children, too few supplies on hand, and just enough stress to trigger a drug or alcohol relapse.
With the rising temperatures the numbers of client families seeking help at our Behavioral Health Center for Women and Children continues to increase. The expecting and new moms receiving services through the Center’s Cradles program often cannot meet basic material needs, and we are committed to welcoming them with open arms.
As we move into August our “inventory” of diapers, baby food, clothing and other supplies dwindles. We rely on the support of donors like you to restock our supply, in the face of increasing client demand. Donations also support travel vouchers so that all women and families in need can get to our agency for immediate treatment and support.
We are so thankful to the donors whose support has brought us more than $5,000 in initial contributions. We challenge you to join us in raising the bar to $10,000, with 100% participation!! We’re halfway there…
Please consider making a gift today in support of the “Christmas in July” drive at the Behavioral Health Center for Women and Children.
